Harrow CCG is delighted to have been awarded the London Healthy Workplace Charter award at commitment level, following a successful assessment.

The Healthy Workplace Charter is the first pan-London framework that supports and recognises investment in staff health and wellbeing, partnering local public health resource with employers. We are one of over 150 organisations that have met the standards to date. 

In making the award, the London Healthy Workplace team was particularly impressed with several aspects of our organisation, including:

  • Senior management commitment to health and wellbeing,
  • Focus on communications,
  • Mental health campaigns,
  • Promoting mindfulness and the 5 ways to wellbeing,
  • Encouraging managers to discuss employee wellbeing in a one to one setting,
  • Clear alcohol and substance misuse policy.

The business benefits of having a healthy, fit and committed workforce are now generally recognised. These include lower absence rates, fewer accidents, improved productivity, staff who are engaged and committed to the organisation and fitter employees as they grow older.
